Type of Database Management System

 

(1) Relational database

(2) Hierarchical database

(3) Distributed database

(4) Network database

 

 

(1) Relational database-This type of database has created relation in single Entity.

For example, there are so many employees in company and each employee different data like name, date of birth, address, designation mobile no etc.

 

Here there are a single employee but there are so many different field linked from this employee.

 

The all information of relation database store in table.

 

(2) Hierarchical database- This database is the tree like structure in which a root node and other all data are linked as children nodes. 

for example one company in which the one manager and there many employee working under manager which make hierarchical structure.

 

 

(3) Distributed database-

This kind of database are distributing in different area and all are linked. 

Advantages-

(1) There no heavy traffic of single database.

(2) If one database has failure other database can serve to user.

(3) The user can fast access data.
(4) It save  time.

 

(4) Network database- The network database is same like hierarchical database. The one root node is link from more than one node.
