There is some basic software terminology which help for understand about software-

 

Coding- The program or software are write in a particular language. the instruction in which the program or software it that is called coding

 

Setup- It is process of computer software in which it is ready to use

 

License-It is type agreement which mean without permission user will not distribute or resell the software to another person

 

 

Piracy-It mean duplication and sell of copyright software without permission of owner.

 

Backup- The process of copy of data in any storage medium so that when data loss it can reinstall.

 

Corrupt- when any file or program which is delete or destroy by virus or human that situation software or program not able to work it is called corrupt

 

Updating- replace the present software when same software has included new feature.

 

Version- It is like edition of book.in this the software has some number or letter and year are mention that when it releases.  For example in Window 2010

Hear the 2010 is version of it.

 

 

Configuration-It is technical detail of software and hardware of system in which any software can work easily like hardware configuration like HDD, RAM, processor, RAM and software configuration like operating system and what is version and bit

 

Compatibility- in this software like operating system and hardware like hard disk ram process are check so that sure that this particular software can work in this system or not.

 

Software compatibility is a characteristic of software components or systems which can operate satisfactorily together on the same computer

 

Customized software- when any user makes a software on his or her own requirement is called customized software

 

 

Installation- Ready to use of software

 

 

User manual- it is like a book in which how to install and how to use of software.
