(1) Based on sound- There are two type of printer base on printer

(1)Impact Printer- These printers create noise when they print any document. There are two type of printers.

(2)Dot matrix Printer- There are a black ribbon is situated in this printer and when header strike on ribbon it printer documents.

(3)Daisy Wheel Printer- There is wheel is situated in this printer. It is very rare printer due to slow speed.

(2) Non-Impact printer- This type of printer never created any sound. There are three types of printers.

(1)Thermal Printer- This printer is rare and slow.

(2)Inject Printer- There are many bottle of color is present in this printer. Its quality is very good than dot matrix printer.

(3)Laser Printer- This is best quality of printer on base of printing. It speed is fastest and quality of paper. This printer use toner powder for print.

(2)Base on print capacity- There are three type of printing capacity.

(1)Page printer- This printer is fastest speed it printer one or more page per minute base on printer for example laser printer.

(2)Line printer- This page print line by line

(3)Character printer. This printer print character by character per minute.

(3)Base on color- There are two type of printer on base of color

(1)Black and white printer- This kind of printer print only black and white print

(2)Color printer- This type of printer can color print.

(4)Base on wire or wireless- Two type

(1)Wire printer- This printer cable is must be connect cable from computer or laptop for printing any paper.

(2)Wireless printer- This printer cable is not need be connect cable from computer or laptop for printing any paper. This printer has wi-fi based.

(5)Base on single or hybrid- There are two type of printer.

Single printer- This kind only printer is available.

Hybrid printer – this kind printer has facility of scanner and photocopy.

(6) Simplex and duplex printer-

(1)Simplex printer is that printer which print paper on one side and if you want to print another side same paper you have to change it and again put in printer.

(2)Duplex printer is that printers which can print page both side when printer print page on side it automatically print another side of same page.

Plotter- This is like a printer which are used to print graph, map and designing. It uses for commercial and scientific purpose. It uses by architect and engineers etc.
