What is network Part 1
Networking-The linking to two more than two computers in such a
way that they can share data and resource is called networking.
The
main components of network-
(1)Server- The server means a computer which almost data
of organization has stored almost data. The server is comparative bigger in
size and faster.
(2)Client- The computer except server are which are
linked from networking is called client.
(3)Network cable-The network cable which are connect
between two computers is called network cable. It is special cable which is
group of eight small wire. It links with computer in certain combination.
(4)Network Operating system-This operating system support network and allow data and resource multiple computers at a time to server. It is multitasking and multiuser operating system.
(5) Network Card-This card has electronic circuit and in
installed in computer.
Network
Devices-
(1)Hub-The Hub is network device which allow multiple
computer data transmission. It work on physical layer.
(2)Router-The router is network device which may be wired
or wireless. It uses to connect between two or more than two computer network
and computer network with internet.
(3)Bridge-It is network device which is use to connect two different
networks on data link layer.
(4)Switch-It is a network device which help to connect in
LAN. It uses in data link layer.
(5)Gateway-It is use to connect two different type of
networks for example LAN and MAN.
There
are three types of network-
(1)Local Area Network-This kind of network is working
within one organization. It covers area 1 kilometer area.
(2)Metro Area Network- This kind of network is working
cover within 1 to 5 kilometer area.
(3)Wide Area Network- This kind of network is working
within among two to more than two cities.
Topology
of networking-
Topology- The topology mean how computer are link from
each other.
(1)Star Topology- It this all computers are connected
from single computer
(2)Bus Topology- In this all computers are connected from
a single cable.
(3)Ring Topology-In this all computer are connected in
round structure cable.
In this all numbers from 1 to 6 are computers.
(4)Star and bus Topology-It is combination of star and
bus topology.
(5)Mesh Topology-In this each computer are link with
other all computers
Advantages of Networking-
Data Share-It share data
Resource share- It share resource like printer and
scanner.
Time saving- It help to save time.
Money saving- It save money
Security- The networking provided security.
