What is network part 2

                  What is network part 2

Type of connection-

There are four type of connection-

 Dial-up

This service provided by telephone companies. In this company provide a number to their customer. When customer dial this number they connect from telephone exchange and customer can talk and access internet. It speeds of internet is very slow.

 Leased line-

When telephone company provide a personal line for communication which is called leased line. The leased line is personal and there is no need to set connection 24 hour are connection available. It very fast and expensive.

Integrated Survive Digital Network (ISDN)-

It is a set of communication standards for digital transmission which allow voice, video, data, and other network. It is circuit switch network

Broadband-The broadband is wide bandwidth data transmission which transports multiple signals on Internet traffic types, that enables messages to be sent simultaneously, used in fast internet connections. IT transmit data voice and video for long distance at very high speed. The broad band use be coaxial cable, optical fiber fiber for it satellite.

Digital subscriber line-This is pair line which used in telephone and internet.

Optical fiber line-It is very thin cable. It is group of optical cable which are coated from plastic. It is one of the fasted medium of data transmission. The data transmission in speed of light so it is very fast.

Co-axial Cable-The coaxial cable is a wired which made from bronze. It is coated by nonconductor material. It is in matel tube.

Satellite Transmission-It is use to data transmission widest area. The signal send or receive by antenna or radar.

Type of transmission-The speed of data transmission is count bit per second.

According to bits per second there are three type of data transmission.

Voice Grade Transmission-There is 300 to 9600 Bit Per Second data transmission.

Narrow Band Transmission-There is 45 to 150 Bit Per Second data transmission.

Wide Band Transmission-There is 19200 to 500000 Bit Per Second data transmission.

There are three stage of communication.

Simple-In this data transmission only at a single direction for example Radio and Television.

Half-duplex- In this data transmission in both directions but at a time only in single direction for example walkie talkie.

Full-duplex-In this data transmission in both directions at a time example telephone, mobile.

Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI model)-The Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI model) is a conceptual model. It is standard which helps to standard communications network with certain protocol.

There are 7 layer of Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI model) is a conceptual model.

Protocol- The set of rule which follow by one computer to another when they contact.

(1) Physical Layer

(2)Data Link Layer

(3)Network Layer

(4)Transport Layer

(5)Session Layer
(6)Presentation Layer

(7)Application Layer

There are different protocols work on different device.
