Today is Nag Panchami. This is cultural festival of India.

 

The Nag Panchami is word taken from Hindi language. The Nag mean snake and Panchami mean 5 date of Hindu calendar.

 

According to Hindu mythology snake is ornamental of lord Shiv Ji Who is biggest god of Hindu religion.

 

 Importance of Nag Panchami-

This day people drink milk to snake and worship him for protection self and family.

 

 

 

Nag Chandrashawar Temple-

 

 

Nag Chandrashawar Temple is situated in Mahakaleshwar Temple at third floor.

The Mahakaleshwar is one of the most popular temples of lord Shiv is situated in Ujjain.

 

Chandrashawar Temple is open in once in year only for 24 hours at Nag Panchami which today. This day pilgrim can pray in temple. Rest of days this temple is completely close.

 

Nagchandrashawar temple is dedicated to Lord Shiv and his wife goddess Parvati Ji.
