The Hawa Mahal is one of the most popular historical monument in Jaipur. It is one of the most popular tourist place in Jaipur.

 

The Hawa Mahal was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, who was the founder of Jaipur in year 1799.

 

The Hawa Mahal word made by two word Hawa mean Air and Mahal mean Palace.

 

It is built by red and pink send stone. There are five floors and 953 small windows called Jharokhas.
